How did the candidates for Bristol Mayor and WECA Mayor respond to our Asks?
BRISTOL AND WECA ELECTIONS 2021

On 6 May 2021, Bristol will vote to elect a new Mayor as well as voting for City Councillors. A new West of England Combined Authority Mayor will also be elected.
Working with Bristol Refugee and Asylum Seeker Partnership (BRASP), we put together a list of Asks for our new Bristol Mayor and our new Metro Mayor. On behalf of BRASP, Bristol Refugee Rights contacted the candidates. The Asks were also published through our BRASP Public Webinar Event on 29 April 2021.

Bristol Mayor (in alphabetical order):
Caroline Gooch (Liberal Democrats), Marvin Rees (Labour Party) and Sandy Hore-Ruthven (Green Party) have confirmed their commitment to our Bristol Asks.
At the time of publishing this statement, we had not received notification of support from Alastair Watson (Conservative Party), John Langley (Independent), Oska Shaw, Robert Clarke (Reform UK), Sean Donnelly (Independent), Tom Baldwin (Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition).
WECA Mayor (in alphabetical order):
Jerome Thomas (Green Party) and Stephen Williams (Liberal Democrats) have confirmed their commitment to our WECA Asks.
At the time of publishing this statement, we have not received notification of support from Dan Norris (Labour Party) or Samuel Williams (Conservative Party).
