Support for Families

Bristol Refugee Rights members with children can request support with a range of issues.

Creche Placements – for children from 8 months – 4 years old

We run a creche on Wednesday between 9:45 – 11:35am for parents attending ESOL classes.

We run a creche on Thursday mornings between 10:00 – 11:50 am for parents who want to attend the Welcome Hall and other workshops such as cooking, yoga and art.

BRR manages and runs a crèche on Tuesday mornings for Refugee Women of Bristol between 10.00 – 12.00, for parents attending ESOL classes at Easton Family Centre. For information you can visit the Refugee Women of Bristol website.

The Early Years Project Team can help also with:

• Getting help with food support through food clubs and food banks
• Sourcing items for your baby through babybank
• Applying for nursery
• Seeking specialist support for parents and children
• Connecting families with local children’s centres
• Supportive advice

• The times we can answer the phone line will be limited (currently Mondays and Tuesdays 10am – 1pm).

Membership

Bristol Refugee Rights’ members are people currently in the UK asylum process or who have recently been granted refugee status when they first get in contact. Members must be living in the Bristol area. Referral organisations should read the Membership Eligibility PDF Membership Eligibility .
